First Bus Filling Fast

Over 40 students signed up for the East Coast Trip last night.  If you child is interested in going on the trip, they need to sign up ASAP.  Once the first bus is full, a waiting list will be started until we have enough students for a second bus.  Here is a link to register on-line.  Trip brochures are available in the Informational Center of the the Middle School, if you need to mail your form and money.

Informational Meeting for 2012!

The meeting for the 2012 East Coast Trip has been set.  This informational meeting will be on Tuesday, October 18 @ 7:00 p.m. in the Middle School Cafe.  During the meeting, we will go over the trip itinerary, trip expectations, costs, etc.  This is a great opportunity to ask questions.  If you have any questions about the trip prior to this meeting, please contact Mr. Tidey @ keith.tidey@staff.spartaschools.org.

Mandatory Parent/Student Meeting

The mandatory parent & student East Coast Trip Meeting is on Tuesday, April 19 in the middle school cafe.  Please make sure that you make it to this important meeting.  Talk to coaches of sports and let them know that this is a school event and you need to be there.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Tidey.

Photo ID Cards

Douglas Photography has agreed to make photo id cards for the students.  The cost is $3 per card.  In order to make a card, the student must have had their picture taken for the year book.  Forms were given to students at the East Coast Trip meeting on Monday, March 21.  These forms and money are due to Mr. Tidey by Monday, March 28.

Notarized Trip Authorization Form / Money Due 3/31

Just a couple of quick reminders.

1. All East Coast Trip money is due March 31st.  Please make sure to send this money to Countryside Tours.  The link to their website is http://www.countrysidetours.net/.
2. Please make sure that you get your Trip Authorization Form notarized.  You can do this at most banks.  The two notary publics in Sparta Area Schools have volunteered to notarize your forms, too.  You can call Rose Hunter-Faurot 887-7359 (Special Education Office in MS) or Kim Anderson 887-8253 (Administration Office).  They will let you know a good time to come in and what to bring.
3. Please make sure that your child has an original birth certificate with a raised seal on it.  It must be the original.  No photocopies.

Mark Your Calendars

The mandatory parent and student meeting for the East Coast Trip has been set.  Please make sure that each student and at least one parent attends this meeting.  I have scheduled the meeting at night and on a night that does not have a track meet.

East Coast Gift Certificates

Just a quick reminder that East Coast Trip gift certificates make great gifts.  The link to purchase these certificates is located on this blog.  Forward the link to the blog on to relatives, friends, etc.  All they need to do is click on the "Christmas Gift Certificate Program" link.  It is that easy.  My daughter was able to get a few of these for Christmas and her birthday.  Boy, was it a huge help when the final payment came.
